Incentive Works

You Never Stop Learning
At IncentiveWorks, we understand that.

That’s why our education sessions and workshops are designed to provide insight, tips and applicable learning experiences for every level of planner and supplier, regardless of where you are in your career.

We enlist professional speakers and industry experts to bring you engaging, relevant content to help you deliver better events.

Get engaged. Get involved. Get experience.

IncentiveWorks education is organized by the events and editorial team of the award-winning Meetings + Incentive Travel (M+IT) magazine. With over 40 years in the meetings industry and a requested readership of 40,000+ Canadian planners, M+IT knows what planners want. We make the pages of the magazine come alive each year through IncentiveWorks education.

Collect CE Credits

We tailor our in-depth education sessions to not only be relevant to your day-to-day job but also benefit your career. That’s why we pre-qualify our education sessions with the Convention Industry Council (CIC) so that time spent at IncentiveWorks may also help you gain your certification or re-certification.

To qualify:

  • Register and attend any of our IncentiveWorks Education Workshops
  • Keep your registration receipt or name badge as proof of attendance
  • After the event, log on to your CIC online account or create one (https://myaccount.conventionindustry.org) and upload poof of attendance
  • Under the continuing education tab, enter in your hours and domain

Note: All sessions that qualify for clock hours will list their domains and hours with the online session description in advance of the event.

Determining how many credits you have earned:

The CIC awards educational credit on an hour-for-hour basis, down to the quarter hour. If you attend, for instance, a 90-minute session, you will earn 1.5 CE credits.

Here’s a cheat sheet for our sessions:
1hr 45min workshop = 1.75 CE credits
1hr 30min workshop = 1.5 CE credits
1hr breakout = 1 CE credit
20min knowledge pod = .33 CE credit

Those who wish to obtain their CMP need 25 clock hours (which are the same as credits) in total.
